SK-II Facial Treatment Mask VS Missha The First Treatment Essence Mask

After releasing the highly successful Missha Time Revoultion The First Treatment Essence, Missha is going head to head with SK-II with the release of the Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Mask.

The SK-II The First Treatment Essence Mask has been a huge favourite all over the world. I love it myself too, but the downside : it’s really expensive. Now here’s a comparison between the two products.

  1. Hi Hope,

I have a question i would like to ask you. I recently realiazed that my face and neck is darker than my body, like really yellowish and I dont know why because I put sunscreen on everyday. So I’m looking for a whitening productline at the moment. I’ve heard that History of Whoo Seol line is really good, have you tried those? And if thats ok with you, can you give me some seller on Gmarket that carry them for a reasonable price. I really appreciate your help and wish you have a wonderful year

  2. Hi Vi,

What is your budget? Maybe that can help better before recommending Whoo to you. It is a good line but really expensive!

  3. Hi Hope,

Thanks for the quick reply! I think my budget would be $100 or a bit more I dont mind paying extra if the product works. I know Whoo is so expensive and I’m only 24 so I hope I can save Whoo for later. I have combination oily skin as well.

  4. for 100, you can probably only afford the toner and emulsion of the Seol line.

I have a few lines in mind with that budget :

    1. The Coreana Zain Whitening line ( toner + serum + cream )
    2. Beyond’s Phyto White line ( won the best cream this year )
    3. Hannule Rich Effect Whitening Line
    4. TonyMoly Floria Whitening Line

All the information you need, like where to purchase etc is on the blog! just gotta look look look and click click click! Have fun!

  5. Coincidently I’m currently using Coreana Zain as well, its the Vital Energy set with the purple package. But I have Tony Moly shop here so I will check out the Floria Whitening Thanks Hope!

  6. I bought a set which includes a full size of vital essence and the sleeping pack with small size of the essence, primer and their BB Cream. The essence is really good, it has a very pleasant smell. Unfortunately I find that the sleeping pack is a bit heavy on my skin. I’m not sure if its because its summer now in Australia so whenever I use this sleeping pack, I can feel quite greasy and would wake up with a shiny nose in the morning. I dont get that when I use Laneige sleeping pack. However, the star product that surprises me is the Vital Recovery BB Cream. I instantly love it and has put aside all other foundations. Its smooth, does not oxidise, and covers well. The SA here told me that while young people love BB cream from Tony Moly or Face Shop in Korea, the older women who have more income all buy Coreana BB Cream.

  7. Keep the sleeping pack for winter !

I suppose you are talking about their Vital Recovery BB Cream? Yes, they’re very reputable amongst Korean women actually like the AHC.

  8. I use the Coreana Zain sleeping pack during all seasons, and it does not break out my combination skin unlike the Face Shop’s sleeping packs which leave a rather shiny residue or layer on. Even the Whoo Gongjinhyang Sleeping Repair Pack feels rather much better by comparison with the Face Shop stuff for sleeping packs, because the skin at least absorbs it better. Now that I am in Japan, not every Coreana product on Gmarket can be imported here and I have to check very carefully. That said, I make a yearly trip to Korea at least and am moving there within the next few years such a concern is minimal in terms of worries to me. Vi Chan, Laneige now has a Firming Sleeping pack which might be better for your skin if you want anti-aging results but without the watery ‘don’t feel like you applied anything at all’ texture of the Water Sleeping Pack EX, which for me, was almost nonexistent even in summer and did not help my skin per se.
