The external simplicity of the cryomassage procedure is deceptive. To avoid negative consequences, before the course of cryotherapy, the patient will not be prevented from examining for the presence of some chronic diseases, which can become a contraindication.
No special pre-training from a person who came to cryomassage is not required. The only thing you need to take care of in advance is the responsible choice of the salon, in which there is an experienced specialist. Do not go to cryomassage soon after peeling, whatever kind it may be: mechanical, chemical, or a kind of physical. It is not recommended to conduct the course during the hot period of the year, in order to avoid the appearance of hyperpigmentation, which can provoke intense ultraviolet radiation.
Check for contraindications
Despite the fact that the list of indications for the procedure is extensive, you should first consult with your doctor. After all, not everyone can do the cryomassage of a person with liquid nitrogen. Contraindications are not less wide list:
- cold allergy;
- hypertension II, III stage;
- chronic diseases of respiratory and nervous systems;
- herpes (stage of exacerbation);
- kuperoz (close proximity of blood vessels to the surface of the skin);
- extensive pustular processes on the face;
- tonsillitis, pharyngitis;
- chronic adnexitis (inflammation of appendages);
- condition after a heart attack or stroke;
- blood diseases.
Even if none of the contraindications has touched a patient who wants to experience cryomassage, before the removal of warts, pigment spots or moles, it is necessary to undergo a checkup to be sure of their harmless nature. Cryomassage during pregnancy and breast-feeding is also contraindicated. In this condition, a woman's hormonal balance is disturbed, triggering the activation of the sebaceous glands. The skin becomes more sensitive due to the expansion of nearby vessels, but this phenomenon is temporary. When the baby is born and grows up a bit, then you can think about the need for a facial skin renewal procedure.
Technique of the procedure
Before the beginning of the procedure, the beautician thoroughly cleanses the face, then treats it with an alcoholic 70% solution or a non-alcoholic agent. Before contact with the applicator (a wooden stick with notches for fixing cotton wool), the skin should be absolutely dry, otherwise the tool may freeze to the skin. At first glance it may seem that the cryomassage procedure is too simple to cost anything. In the hands of the cosmetologist only an applicator, there is no expensive equipment, since liquid nitrogen for the face is stored in special containers, made on the basis of the Dewar vessel.
As necessary, it is poured into a thermos of smaller size, where a specialist dips the applicator and with sharp, rapid movements passes the surface of the skin, just touching it, just on the massage lines. However, each rotational motion of the applicator is reconciled to fractions of a second, since procrastination is excluded in this case. Otherwise, liquid nitrogen will simply evaporate along the way, not reaching the goal. Non-compliance with the speed of the procedure is the most frequent reason that the course did not give a positive result. Overdosing is fraught with local frostbite.
