The natural defense of the epidermis is skin fat. It is produced throughout the body, except for the palms, soles and skin around the eyes. Therefore, additional protection of the eyelids is required.
The skin around the eyes needs special gentle care and permanent UV protection. It is necessary not only to use special means for eyelids with a high protective factor, but also to wear sunglasses regularly.
Eye care also means applying makeup before going out. Tonal means do not just mask dark circles, but also protect the epidermis from the negative impact of the environment.
At night, the skin of the eyelids should breathe. To do this, you need to remove all cosmetics in the evening. Doing this with gels for washing is unreasonable, because they do not dissolve the foundation. You need a special liquid, or even better – micellar water, which removes the smallest particles of contaminants.
Removing makeup should be done correctly, so as not to stretch the delicate skin of the eyelids. One cotton swab, impregnated with a liquid for make-up remover, is put under the eye. Then the eyes are closed, and another wet disc is placed on top. Movements should be neat, soaking, not rubbing.
Protection of the eyelids is carried out with the help of special creams. For winter, a greasy product is needed. In summer, you can do with a light refreshing gel with an extract of aloe or cucumber. To the eyelids do not swell, do not apply the cream too close to the mucous membrane of the eyes and leave it on the skin for the night. An hour after application, remove the remnants of the product with a tissue. Then there will be no swelling.
In addition to cosmetics, you can use folk. In the classic care of the skin around the eyes are compresses made from decoction of herbs. The most effective are the cornflowers and the immortelle. You can prepare yourself an infusion and just wash it. Or buy a cream that contains extracts of these plants.
It is very useful for the skin of the age of vitamin A. In the composition of creams it is included under the name "retinol", and in its pure form is sold in pharmacies under the labeling "retinol acetate". It is a liquid oil solution of vitamin A, which can enrich the masks and creams for the area around the eyes.
Antioxidants help to fight wrinkles. They must be used both externally and internally. The strongest antioxidant, the "vitamin of youth", present in many anti-aging creams, is vitamin E (tocopherol). Inside, it is recommended to take Astaxanthin – a carotenoid, which is synthesized from the red alga Haematococcus pluvialis. It slows down the aging process.
