The Lotree has the flashiest packaging out of the three a
s it is the most colourful and the one that catches your eyes the most. However with that said, it is also the bulkiest out of the lot. The most convenient one to bring around would be  the Dr Jart BB Cream as it is really tiny, compact and portable. However, the UNT also has a very nice, long and compact packaging. It is also the only one that uses a pump, making it much more hygienic than the rest.

The BB Cream of Dr Jart can be used up to 24 months after opening it, while the UNT one can last only for 6 months!

As you can see, Dr Jart has the most natural colour out of the rest and the one that looks most natural. The Lotree and UNT has quite a heavy greyish undertone, with the UNT being the heaviest. The Lotree leaves a bit of a whitish cast but after a few minutes it blends in with your skin colour. However, those with darker skin should avoid the Lotree BB Cream. The Dr Jart is the clear winner here. It not only doesn’t leave a white greyish cast, but blends in naturally with the skin, and looks the most natural. It also has a brighter colour compared to the the other two.

Texture & Coverage

The one with the lightest and easiest texture to work with is the Lotree Bb Cream. It really is very airy and light and spreads easily on the skin. Next up is the UNT BB Cream which has a creamy texture, then the Dr Jart being the thickest and balm-cream like in texture. However, although being more balmy – the Dr Jart is easier to spread and blend on the skin compa
red to the the UNT which is very pigmented.

As you notice on the photos while using a brush to apply the BB Creams , the Dr Jart spreads easily ( therefore it has bigger strokes ) while the UNT has the smallest strokes. You can also see that both the Dr Jart and UNT is pigmented  and has better coverage while the Lotree BB Cream has lighter coverage.

On the last photo i applied them on oranges as the orange skin looks like skin with a rough texture with enlarged pores. The UNT has the best coverage, followed by the Dr Jart, and next the Lotree.

Adhesion Test

Here i used artificial leather – as it ressembles the skin. I firstly applied the BB Creams on them ( same amount ), then used my finger to wipe once, then twice, and lastly used a swipe of oil ( to mimic the sebum produced by our skin ) to wipe.

As you can see from above, the Dr Jart and UNT had the best adhesion power, with the UNT being slightly stronger. The Lotree was the weakest among the two and rubbed off easily.

Water Test

For the water test, i dipped them in water, placed them under cold and hot running water, and lastly dropped some cleansing oil to see which had the best adhesion and staying power. As proved above, the Lotree came off and washed off the easiest. And the Dr Jart and UNT were excellent in this category.

Oil Test

After 6 hours… the Lotree was a nightmare. The Dr Jart had the least oil, and the UNT was similar to the Dr Jart. This also shows when applying on the skin. The Lotree had no oil control at all and will not be suitable for those with oily skin. The UNT gives the most matte finish out of the rest, and has also good oil control properties. The Dr. Jart was also rather good at controlling oil. Both of them would be suitable for those with oily & combination skin!

So out of the three, which BB Cream did i love the most ?

It was between the UNT BB Cream and the Dr Jart BB Cream, the Lotree was out of the question. Although the Lotree had a very nice, light, spreadable texture – it was too white and had a rather heavy pink greyish undertone. It also has less than ideal adhesion and rubs off easily. It would be perfect for those with who are fair, with normal to dry skin, looking for something light with a sheer coverage.

The winner ? The Dr Jart ! In which part did the UNT BB Cream lose out ? First of all, although the UNT has excellent coverage and adhesion, it is way too pigmented and can look rather cakey and heavy on the skin with it’s greyish undertone. The Dr Jart looks really natural on the skin, and the coverage and adhesion is also excellent. The Dr Jart is also more hydrating than the UNT BB Cream. The UNT BB Cream would be excellent for those with oily or combination skin, as the oil control is rather excellent and leaves a really matte finish on the skin. It also has good coverage which can help cover acne and blemishes. Also, the Dr Jart has
the highest SPF while the UNT doesn’t have any SPF.

In terms of ingredient list – all are not perfect. The Dr Jart has talc, phenoxyethanol, parabens on the list. However it also has the most beneficial extracts for the skin like Panthenol, Camellia extracts, Adenosine, and a few essential oils. It is fragrance free!

The UNT BB Cream contains alpha-arbutin, which is the most efficient type of arbutin, a whitening ingredient. It also contains quite a number of minerals. The few controversial stuff i spotted here were stuff like Phenoxyethanol, Mica, Mineral Oil. It is however, paraben, fragrance and alcohol free. Towards the end of the ingredient list, there are a few flower complex that are known for their skin calming and soothing properties.

The Lotree BB Cream has the most amount of controversial ingredients : mica, mineral oil, talc, alcohol, parabens, phenoxyethanol and fragrance.
